Clayton is 2 miles by 1 1/2 miles in size with a population of 3798 in the 2020 census. Clayton served as the transportation hub for Delmarva Peninsula from 1850 to 1950, with primary freight being peaches. Coal and Commodity chemicals are the predominant freight today. The Town is primarily a residential community. Rick, Judy, Sue and Mark visited Clayton for Lunch at Jack’s on Main. IF you happen to be near Clayton at lunch time, do your palate a favor and partake in the cuisine at Jack’s on Main. Food and Service were both outstanding. Neat space, loved the print metal ceilings.
